About the COVID-19 Virus

Like so many of you we have spent the last several weeks learning about the corona virus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting what we do. For Arsola’s that means understanding how it affects our team members, clients and communities and then making the necessary adjustments to our distribution operations.

We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping you, our employees and volunteers safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way. With that in mind we have made several moves in our food distributions in response to the threat of the corona virus.

We have ramped up cleaning services at our corporate offices, food pantry and distribution sites and have added hand sanitizer at the entrances and exits. At all times gloves and masks are worn by team members. Sanitizing wipes are available on our trucks and team members use them throughout the day. Team members wash their hands for at least 20 seconds each time they enter or exit our offices or pantry. We practice social distancing in all our operations from pick-up, transport, bagging, and have instituted curbside distribution of bags that our team members prepare and place in our program participants cars, meaning no face-to-face contact.

We are closely following the Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our team on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick.

If you don’t feel well or choose not to visit one of our distributions, of course, we understand but know that Arsola’s is ready to serve you.
