Founder and Executive Director, Arsola’s Distribution Center and Community Services

For over thirty (30) years, Candi Thornton has been involved in community service. In 1999, in honor of her beloved mother, Arsola, she founded Arsola Inc., a residential safe haven for the mentally, physical and emotionally challenged, formerly incarcerated, survivors of domestic violence, homeless, veterans, and seniors. Arsola’s — A Rebound Service of Life’s Awareness — has provided thousands with housing, food, clothing, fellowship, and other vital services. Thornton possess a uniqueness inspires others to succeed. Called to serve humanity with her wealth of love, patience and tirelessness, her work in the deep east Oakland community has created a path to success and an awareness of a better way of life for hundreds of people. Thornton’s devotion to God and dedication to spreading the word of God through her ministry, has enabled her to impact and empower many lives.

Ms. Thornton’s continually updates her skills and knowledge through continuing education in Human Services, Substance Abuse Counseling and Social Behavioral Sciences.
