Housing Programs
Adult Re-entry Housing
In August 2019, Arsola’s was awarded a multi-million, multi-year grant by the Bureau of State and Community Corrections to identify, screen and place formerly incarcerated persons in long-term housing. To date we have housed 13 persons.
Adult Residential Facility
Arsola’s House is a 56-bed residential facility for adults located in east Oakland. We offer long-term housing for the physically, mentally, and developmentally challenged, housing insecure, persons recovering from substances and alcohol, and survivors of domestic violence, veterans, senior citizens, and unsheltered formerly incarcerated persons.
Food Programs
Food Distribution Program
Arsola’s Distribution Center and Community Services (ADCCS) ‘rescues’ food from several grocers around the Bay Area who are required by federal and state law to donate food that is edible rather than throwing it away. Arsola’s DCCS picks up the food and safely transports it to distribution sites throughout deep east Oakland. Our food program volunteers have received Serve Safe Food Handler training.
Donations vary each pick-up. We do not know in advance what or how much will be given to us. Participants must bring their own bags or shopping cart. We ask that you be considerate of others and take only what you need. First come, first served.

Faith and Nonprofit Organization Distribution

Emergency Food Pantry

Community Services
Each year we giveaway 500 backpacks filled with school supplies, host a Thanksgiving food distribution, and host a holiday party featuring seasonal foods and a gift giveaway for youth and senior citizens.
